Surface-water Modeling SystemSMS (software) — The name of the software is "SMS", not "Surface-water Modeling System". See http://www.aquaveo.com/sms for name. +mt 21:59, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

  • Oppose. SMS (software) is ambiguous. Also the Corps of Engineers in the white paper uses the full name. Vegaswikian (talk) 20:13, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
    • Comment: I'll agree that the name "SMS software" is very ambiguous, but disagree that the article should be kept at the full name, since it is not very common (and the full name is absent from the Aquaveo website I pointed out earlier). By far, SMS is the common name in all documentation. Closing and moving to a new namespace with less ambiguity. +mt 21:58, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Suggestion for article expansion

Would it be helpful for this article to include a list or section that cites papers/research that have used SMS? It would be helpful to have a section that explains how the software has been used and what kind of projects it gets used for. 42of8 (talk) 17:19, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
