Proposal to merge this article to Romblon, Romblon

edit

Romblon Island (together with its "children" islands) and the municipality are coterminous. Therefore, it makes sense to merge this article into the article on the municipality, per the reasons I have provided in my essay. —seav (talk) 19:13, 31 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

The bit about the nesting bird may be apocryphal some sources (e.g., [1]) call it "a legendary tale". If mentioned anywhere, that mention probably ought to be in the Romblon article. Offhand, I don't see anything else in here which might need merging. I notice that the infobox says that the municipality of Romblon is the largest settlement on the island. This is incorrect. The island is a part of the municipality, not the other way around. According to the 2010 census (see [2]), the Barangay of Capaclan was then the most populous settlement on the island. It probably still is. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 03:13, 1 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
Merge as they basically treat the same subject which is the island municipality of Romblon, Romblon.--RioHondo (talk) 05:54, 1 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • Support merge, but the other 3 islands part of the LGU are fairly significant (they are not uninhabited). It would need to be made clear that the LGU and the island have small differences, like San Francisco, Cebu. -- P 1 9 9   13:42, 1 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
  • I also support merge. Maybe seav and I can work on the merger. -- Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 10:58, 13 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
