When will the Proffitt's store be turned in to Belk?

We now know that the Proffit's location became Belk on March 8, 2006. But as long as former Saks/Profitt's Inc. properties are being mentioned, I'm curious about the fate of McRae's — one of the mall's original anchors. In reading over this article, it's the only original anchor I can't reconcile with the current lineup. Is it currently vacant, or was it redeveloped as general mall space? — ArkansasTraveler 15:48, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

According to the article, it is mentioned that Dillard's might buy the McRae's location and enter the Birmingham market. I'm not sure if it is true or not and no future announcement about this has been made.

Brookwood Village

The article says "The only Birmingham area mall to survive relatively unscathed is the relatively tiny Colonial Brookwood Village". Do you really think this is the case? Brookwood Village had to do major reconstruction in order to compete. A large percentage of the shops in Brookwood closed or moved before this renovation. ClarkBHM 14:20, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Parisian to Belk

Recently, Belk acquired the Parisian department store from Saks Incorporated. What will happen to the Parisian store since there is already a Belk store in this mall? Bucs2004 02:58, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

How is the expansion progressing at the original Parisian anchor space, now the mall's primary Belk anchor? My first reaction to seeing notes of such plans was the thought that Belk may be looking long-term to consolidate its Riverchase operations into one space, likely leaving the Pizitz/McRae's anchor space available yet again. Such a scenario could pave the way for Dillard's to enter the Birmingham market, assuming Dillard's is in decent financial shape by that point (say, by 2011). — ArkansasTraveler (talk) 15:28, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Carousel

The information on the carousel is very suspicious. It says, without sourcing, "full-size, authentic 19th Century Dentzel Carousel," however, this article says it is from 1983, and the carousel is not indexed at Carousels.org, where I would expect it to be, especially if it's really a Dentzel. Clicking through, the linked article states that the mall's carousel was removed after the 2012 holiday season and shipped to San Francisco for renovation and alteration before being permanently reinstalled in August 2013. --Dystopos (talk) 14:00, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
