I have looked at Rideau Canal Festival and have confirmed that there is a copyright violation. Also, Wikipedia does not try to cover everything. Topics to be covered should meet Wikipedia's Notability guideline. This means the topic should be described in impartial reliable sources. You should give credit to your sources, but paraphrase the information from those source in your own words.

- Ont2010 Brought here from a recent message on an entry. Ont2010 entered information for Rideau Canal Festival. None of this was taken from the website you pointed out. I believe this festival is notable enough for Wikipedia. - I noticed that you said the information came from a "recent message on an entry". I'm not sure what that means. We should give enough information about where we obtained information so that another reader or editor can gain access to the information, verify that it really says what the editor who added it claims, and read more about the topic. So could you explain how all the other readers can look at the source of the information too?
- Your opinion of the festival may be entirely correct, but almost all of the editors on Wikipedia are anonymous. Even when they are using their real names, we have no way to be sure it's really them. That is why we require information come from reliable sources.
- Wikipedia:Notability (events) describes the kind of events that should be included in Wikipedia. If the festival draws people from all over the country, like Mardi Gras, then it is surely notable. If it draws people from all over the province, it would be borderline. If it only draws people from part of a city, I would think it would not be notable. This should be judged by coverage in reliable sources. For example, if the festival is covered by newspapers from Nova Scotia to British Columbia, it is surely notable. If only covered in Ottawa, it probably isn't notable.
