What about the Scottish Reynolds that are a sept of the Clan Donald? It is an English rendering from Mac Raonaill or Son of Ranald and is also spelled Ranalds, Ronalds etc... Those derived from Clanranald, Glengarry or Keppoch branches of Clan Donald are descended from men named "Raonaill" often rendered as Ranald in English. there are better sources than this, however:
