British coins edit

Has : "Rex, a title on coins of British kings".

Not really. "Rex" is Latin for "King", and the legend in question is in Latin, with abbreviations. It WAS (?) on the coins of British Kings, but for a long while now there have only been UK Kings regnant in the British Isles (and, because of the present monarchical gender, of decimalisation, and of coin re-sizing, the coins of British Kings and of UK Kings no longer circulate). UK coins of the current reign have "REG." in place of "REX" (neither found on my corresponding Manx and Gibraltarian pound coins).

+ Rex, Latin for King.

+ Rex (or Reg. for Regina), used in the Latin style of monarchs of the United Kingdom, and found on their coinage.
