Followed by?

While it is true that Revelation Space was followed by Chasm City, Chasm City is not the sequel to this novel. Chasm City merely shares the same setting. The true sequel is Redemption Ark. I have edited the article to reflect this. It seems that the template is ambiguous as to which should be selected for the "followed by" section, so I have left this message on the talk page.

Yeah, I was a bit unsure what to put there. RS is indeed followed, chronologically, by CC, but as you said, it's not the sequel. Either way, really. --Closedmouth 09:37, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

I feel like pointing out that Chasm City was released after Revelation Space, but takes place earlier in the internal timeline. (That's not a recommendation of reading order, either; I think you could pretty much go either way.) 68.44.13.236 06:02, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Setting v. Novel?

Shouldn't this page serve as an introduction and overview of the Revelation Space setting as well as a summary of the novel? AusJeb 20:12, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

I've been thinking someone should do this. Move this article to Revelation Space (novel) and write this up as an overview of the series. "Someone" being the operative word; I'm no good at that stuff. --Closedmouth 08:15, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

If I were doing it, I'd use "Revelation Space" for the novel and "Revelation Space universe" for the setting. There's also the Revelation Space series, consisting of the main novels and debatably Chasm City and Galactic North, but but I don't think a separate article is needed for that. --68.44.13.236 05:11, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

What is "Revelation Space"?

The article states that "In the book, the term "Revelation Space" refers to the interior of a Shroud"; this is certainly the case, but the revelation given turns out to be false. Arguably the true "revelation space" is the situation in which Sylveste and Pascale find themselves at the end of the book and/or the way by which Sylveste enters the Hades artefact. 85.189.97.52 (talk) 12:15, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Interior of the shroud?

Neither Lascaille (?) nor Dan Sylveste truly enter the interior of a Shroud, or they would know what was truly inside. In reading the book myself I was under the impression that the just got close enough to be affected and communicated with. I've removed the paragraph for now. Rawling4851 21:28, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

The plot makes no sence?

I have just read the plot and cannot understand anything. Please rewrite the sysnopsis for people who have not read the book!
