Guardian of the Legendary...?
editWhen was it ever stated that Ho-oh is the guardian of the legendary cats, and Lugia of the legendary birds? - NP Chilla 12:40, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, the three legendary birds, when all recruited onto your team, give access to Silver Trench, Lugia's Domain.
In the Gold/Silver games, Ho-oh definitly has connections with the three dogs, though it is never said what. On the other hand, I always thought Lugia to be a rival of Ho-oh. The Pokemon Movie 2000 suggests that Lugia has connections to the Birds, but this is never mentioned in the games. Apart from Pokemon Yellow (where Lugia and Ho-oh aren't even mentioned) the games never follow the TV show or movies, rather, it is the other way round. An example is that Mewtwo never speaks in the games but speaks freely in the First Movie. It's curious as to why the three Regis were introduced one generation earlier then Regigigas (which I suppose is the King of the Regis). I just don't believe that Regigigas was never thought of in the Advanced generation.
TO be honest, it could just as well be the otherway around, maybe the three Regis sealed Regigigas away for some reason and that's why the cave in Ruby/Sapphire mentions that they were scared of the Regis but thankful nonetheless. They would then have been sealed away to prevent 'Gigas from ever truly being rereleased on the world. But the games rarely give enough information so you'll have to phone Game Freak yourself and ask, because I'm clueless. 195.195.15.250 12:44, 5 February 2007 (UTC) Mojanboss

- Articles generally aren't protected because of one or two vandalisms. For one thing, that prevents many of Wikipedia's useful contributors from contributing simply because they don't have accounts. For another thing, it's not necessary because the vandalism can be reverted easily by any user. The vandalism rate needs to be extremely high before an article is protected (and even then, it's usually only semi-protected).—M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 21:16, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Endure!
editUm, Hi. I keep typing that Regigigas can use the Endure TM in D/P. Why does this keep getting wiped? Check out Sereii.net's Pokedex entry and you'll find it's true! 195.195.15.250 13:18, 21 March 2007 (UTC) Mojanboss
- It's not an issue of truth. It's because we're not a game guide here. You'll notice that complex "Bellyzard," "SkarBliss" etc etc strategies have been systematically deleted from each page.—ウルタプ 13:34, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Maybe it's just me, but the fact that it can learn Endure is something to be noted, considering that the artical states that Regigigas cannot learn any moves such as Protect in order to defend itself, i thought it would be useful to note this. Whilst it's true that Wikipedia is not a Game Guide, is it not meant to be an interactive encyclopedia at the most basic level? I just feel that not noting this would be going against what Wikipedia essentially IS. And whilst I'm on the subject, I didn;t think noting that it can learn Endure would be enough to turn it into a Game Guide!195.195.15.250 10:51, 22 March 2007 (UTC) Mojanboss
- However, there are other anons who don't read histories and don't care for Wikipedia policy. If we allow the Endure notice, we'll have anons constantly adding movelists, base stats, etc. -Jeske (v^_^v) 12:56, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- All I'm saying is that it's not right to have someone saying "Regigigas can't use Protect or Rest" without being able to say "But it does learn Endure on the other hand". 89.241.38.159 20:02, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Mojanboss

- First of all, if t's acceptable on wikipedia to say that it can't learn Protect or Rest, then why isn't right to say it can learn endure? I feel it should be included in the article of Regigigas being able to learn Endure because it starts a point and discussion of why it can learn endure, but not Protect or Rest? That's just how it is
Harder to catch ?!
editThe article says, "its ability, “Slow Start”, halves its attack and speed for the first few turns of a battle. This provides the challenge of weakening Regigigas without completely destroying it."
Since defence and special defence determine how much damage it will take when attacked, why does the article imply that a lower attack (how much damage it will do to you), and lower speed (how quickly it can attack), makes it easier to KO rather than simply weaken.
This doesn't make much sence at all, I wanted to see what everyone else thought before I edited the page... Bobcheezy 05:31, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
