Raven's name

Jonathan ? Jonathon ? Surely not Jonnathan ? (As twice here) -- Beardo 14:40, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

I always thought it was Jonathan until I just tried to look up some Raven images. As it turns out, both Wikipedia and the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) display the name as Jonathon (source: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103518/). However, another IMDb page associated with the title lists Raven's name as being spelled Jonathan, with a notation of the alternate spelling (source: http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0043359/). To add to the confusion, the pilot, "Return of the Black Dragons," has it's own IMDb page, which also lists Raven's name as Jonathan (source: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105221/fullcredits#cast)

To finally answer this issue once and for all, I have nearly all the episodes on DVD (with tv commercials). The character of Raven is not credited, except in the opening sequence, in which is simply printed, "Starring Jeffery Meek."

In episode 14, "Disciples of Dawn" (second season, ep 7), Raven goes under cover as a college student in the hopes of gaining access to the Disciples of Dawn. Though the personality test he takes is supposed to be anonymous, the tests have been marked with a UV reactive ink, allowing the instructor to match the tests to the students. Raven's name shows up under the black light as "Jonathon Davis." However, as he is using this name as a cover, we could also conclude that he has changed the spelling of his first name for his cover. I personally find this unlikely; if he is using his first name he wouldn't bother to change the spelling, otherwise he would simply use an entirely false name. I seem to recall another instance in which we see Raven's name in print during the show, but I can't actually remember any others - just the fore mentioned. If someone can verify one more source, then this question will be settled.

With the DVD's having been officially released, "Jonathon" is the confirmed spelling.

CBS, and current rights holder

Interested in buying an official DVD release of the series, I first contacted CBS, who informed me that Columbia-Tristar owns the rights. As Columbia-Tristar are companies of Sony, I contacted Sony. I still have the printed letter somewhere (though I'd have to search for it) of Sony's reply to my inquiry/request of the series being officially released on DVD. If I find the letter, I'll post the pertenant information (why there has not yet been an official DVD release).

I think it would be relevant to know more about who holds the rights to the series, and would like to suggest said inclusion. Though I have some information, it is through direct contact, and I am missing considerable intermittent information, so though it might seem like I am most qualified to create such a section in the article, I believe there are others more qualified that should take up the task.
