Page name edit

Seeing as the page Championship (rugby league) was changed to RFL Championship, would it not be appropriate to change League 1 (rugby league) to RLF League 1? Northern Wonder (talk) 17:08, 2 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Page name change edit

The RFL now stylises the leagues name as League One and not League 1. Proposal to change the name of the page to RFL League One Northern Wonder (talk) 17:55, 30 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Sorry I've just seen this now, I've asked on the talk page about when this happened as I remember as the start of the season seeing "League 1" been used on the RFL website, but this might have been inconsistency on their part if it was August 2022 the change was made. • Oppose. Firstly, 1 and One are functionally the same, it's just a stylistic decision. Secondly, we should be guided by WP:COMMONNAME, not what "official" sources say, and there hasn't been any evidence presented on that thus far.  — Amakuru (talk) 21:06, 5 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Weak oppose as the argument is just WP:OFFICIALNAMES which argues against names just because they're official. No evidence is provided on the change of WP:COMMONNAME per WP:NAMECHANGES. If those sources are found, then a RM can be requested then. DankJae 01:39, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
