editPuri Puri is said to be the practice of sorcery in remote areas of the Papua New Guinea highlands. This is partially correct. It is indeed the practice of sorcery, but the term is not used in the highlands of Papua New Guinea, but in the southern coastal areas. It is a Motu/Hiri Motu word meaning sorcery, and is not limited to remote areas - it is still quite common throughout. (Personal knowledge acquired during residence in the region, and learning the Motu language.) 58.168.7.251 (talk) 08:04, 14 March 2010 (UTC) (Colin)
