Master Card Version by TMBG? edit

I've done some searching, and I've seen some message boards discussions that suggest the 2005 MasterCard version may have been performed by They Might Be Giants. Can anyone help me do some research and see? -Aaron

You Are The Moon by The Hush Sound edit

Not sure if it's the actual melody or something largely based upon it, but the piano melody in You Are The Moon on The Hush Sound's 2006 album Like Vines should be mentioned in the Adaptations section of this page. Third (talk) 21:16, 12 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

"portion of lyrics" edit

This thing where you never post the lyrics of a song is atrocious. Or is there some ridiculous legal reason for it?66.102.65.42 (talk) 22:49, 8 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, the Powers That Be at Wikipedia are paranoid about copyright violations, to the point where they won't allow lyrics to be posted, despite the fact that no one ever actually SELLS lyrics to songs, so it can't possibly hurt the financial interests of the copyright owners. I can understand not posting an actual song, but just the lyrics? By themselves, they have no commercial value, so what's the problem? If I were an owner of the rights to a song, I naturally wouldn't want people file-sharing it and giving my product away. But the lyrics? Publicize them all you want -- that's not where the money is. Hell, it might even generate some interest and boost my recording sales! But what do I know? I'm just an ordinary person using common sense. Captain Quirk (talk) 22:32, 17 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
