Economic justice

I reverted the change of "economic justice" as a PDA priority to "economics," but it was re-reverted. I wanted to check in to get some idea of why the change is desired. I'm guessing the editor may be concerned that "economic justice" is a weasel word or something to that effect. However, it should be noted that economics and economic justice are distinct concepts with very different meanings, and that the latter phrase is the terminology used by PDA itself. I see what you are saying. However, the PDA website is using what we consider a weasel word. It is policies and views regarding economics but they termed it "justice" which gives it a slight spin. The term surprisingly isn't used that much on their site but is seen elsewhere. A quick google search shows some biased and unreliable sources but does also show some with less arguable merit. On Wikipedia, the term redirects to "Social Justice" which has a couple blurbs that use the phrase but are unsourced. The term is not common vernacular and leads the reader. I wouldn't mind it in with quotes (since they do use the term) but that seemed a little silly. Also wouldn't mind something in the paragraph along the line of "...PDA refer to it as economic justice..." but that also might come across overkill. You could also title the section as economic egalitarianism which is featured prominently in the social justice article in reference to political ideology in the lead but that isn't an exact fit for the section.Cptnono (talk) 04:58, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Reads like an ad

This entire article – and I truly mean the entire article – reads like an advertisement for the group. It is essentially a list of policies that the PDA supports, written in an overwhelmingly one-sided style. I am tempted to completely remove the entire "Priorities" section, and will likely do so if there are no objections over the next few days. Yep. It was truly terrible, and I removed most of it. The article still entirely lacks any secondary sources so is possibly a candidate for AFD. Haven't looked into it much yet, but the COI editing here was like woah. Marquardtika (talk) 01:43, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

Huge WP disservice for someone to create page content entirely from subject's page (at least some links now dead), no media articles. References to old legislation, seemingly well-intentioned links to non-existent wikilinks. (:-( Throwing up my arms in exasperation. Easier to delete and start from scratch? Healthcare:

PDA supports establishing Single Payer expanded and improved Medicare for All, whether at the federal, state, or local level. As such, PDA advocates passage of legislation in the U.S. Congress and in the various states to enable and move forward with these systems, resolutions being put forward advocating for same, and candidates who champion this issue at all levels of government.

PDA recognizes that Healthcare as a human right, can only be achieved when it is freely available to everyone. Everybody in, nobody out. And, that the social sciences of public health and economics have well proven that Single Payer systems save lives, lots of lives, and save money, lots of money.

At PDA, it is firmly believed that the policy argument in favor of Medicare for All has been won, but the political struggle for Healthcare Justice continues.

This is extremely outdate information - bills no longer even exist listed on the page. Generic information describing would be more appropriate.

Right now this is what appears -

"PDA supports establishing an expanded, improved Medicare for All National Healthcare Program, moving toward a single-payer health care system. PDA advocates passage of H.R. 676 the United States National Health Care Act, which would provide enhanced Medicare for all by establishing a streamlined, nonprofit national health program under which care would be publicly financed and privately delivered. PDA also supports H.R. 1200 the American Health Security Act which would enable states to establish their own health care programs to move toward publicly financed systems.[4]"

Advisory board right now is incorrect. Some people listed currently were never even on the board.

Social media is relevant as we know and I believe probably should be added.
