Talk:Professional Game Match Officials Limited

On updating//renaming this page, I found a note that had somehow been inserted into a citation, which obviously did not belong there and probably would be more appropriately located on the talk page. GroveWanderer (talk) 06:06, 1 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

The note in question stated as follows:

"Earlier versions of this page in Wikipedia contained references and links to various web sites which have openly criticised PGMOL in relation to the way that they have organised refereeing in the Premier League. Although the articles remain in place these additional remarks and the links have been removed by parties unknown."

Merger Proposal edit

I propose to merge Select Group into Professional Game Match Officials Limited. I think that the content in the Select Group article can be better explained in the context of PGMOL, and the Select Group and PGMOL articles is of a reasonable size that the merging of PGMOL will not cause any problems as far as article size is concerned. --The Neon Narwhal (talk) 02:31, 25 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

I think these are distinct enough to be in two articles. Also the Select Group Article is more list like in nature and it is common for subjects which involve lists of things to have a main article and then a list article. OrlandoCityFan (talk) 18:56, 5 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Closing, given the uncontested objection and no support. Klbrain (talk) 21:15, 3 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Controversy Selection edit

When is a controversial call sufficient to be noted here? There have been more admitted mistakes than just the Liverpool disallowed goal from Oct. 2023, but it's the only one with its own section. Rapartin (talk) 18:02, 10 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

This was fixed by creation of the new controversies section, I believe --Rapartin (talk) 15:50, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Creating a new page for the apologies and admissions? edit

These are coming in much more frequently now that Mic'd Up is on air. Originally, I thought these would maintain their relative rarity. Perhaps they need their own page as a better index. I don't want to clutter wikipedia, but at this point it might clutter PGMOL and there's definitely notoriety around the concept. It's above my wikipedia pay grade to make the call, so I'd like feedback before I try. Rapartin (talk) 15:52, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

British English edit

If someone wants to convert the whole page to british english, I think that would make sense. I am not proficient in the conversion, so I am not going to attempt it. It's not necessary, but this article does meet the standards for BE Rapartin (talk) 15:53, 17 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
