Factual Questions

Runway Length

edit

I changed some wording about the length of the runway at NMRA to reflect the fact that it's not the second longest overall. The runway at Loring AFB, now Loring Commercial Centre, is significantly longer at more than 12,000 feet. I'm not sure what condition Loring's runway is in, but it's claimed on their web site as being 12,100 x 300 (http://www.loring.org/Profile/phys_description.html) and that's what I'm going with. Actually, since Loring is no longer an Air Force / SAC base and is now being commercialized, I think that makes it legitimately the longest "commercial runway in Maine," to the detriment of Bangor's airport. However, I didn't change it because it's arguable what "commercial" means. Loring doesn't have regular service from anywhere that I'm aware of, so it's debatable. My feeling is that they should get the 'longest runway' title, but I'll let it be for right now. --Kadin2048 17:20, 18 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wiggins & Air Now?

edit

Can we really consider Wiggins and Air Now as airlines? Shouldn't the "Airlines & Destinations" section only have scheduled passenger service only? --Jondude11 06:23, 1 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Almost every other airport's page also has an air cargo section...I see no reason why there shouldn't be one here... --KPWM_Spotter 21:00, 1 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Whoops, I didn't notice that you had already changed it. Yes, they should be in the seperate section, as you have it now. --KPWM_Spotter 21:01, 1 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

According to the Air Now lemma, Air Now has ceased operations in 2011. Their website is gone. I will remove the reference to AirNow. Ds77 (talk) 07:50, 14 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
