editWhy is the prehistoric species of North American horse being listed in the article as "Likely the Tarpan"? How is that when the Tarpan is a completely different species to those found in the Western hemisphere 10,000 years ago and earlier?? It would be like claiming that the American lion is the exact same species as the African lion; They aren't.
There is no fossil evidence that the Tarpan or it's descendants ever ranged into North America prior to Spanish introduction of domestic horses. Even the wiki article on the Tarpan agrees with this. As such, I'm removing "likely Tarpan" nonsense. please show cites before readding them. 107.4.200.112 (talk) 21:41, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
