On the merge of the Prairie du Chien School District article

I have a question: what of the other articles concerning school disricts in Wisconsin or even in the United States-would they have to be merge with the city or town that they are name after? Two points to consider:Many of these school districts included other smaller cities or towns, etc. and many of these school district are separate government entities.Thank you-RFD (talk) 17:21, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

• Agree There's not much point to this article, and this particular school district serves only one community, so there's no issue there. Other city/village articles have sections on their school districts, so why not merge this one?. --Sift&Winnow 13:07, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

I de-merged it. Firstly, I don't see consensus in this discussion to merge. Secondly, I found that the district covers an area much larger than Prairie du Chien itself, and I cited the map on its page. Thirdly, WP:COMMONOUTCOMES is still something to consider.  Done with regard to this article. You say that "there are 2 articles"; what is the other one? Unless you specify its name, I don't know where to look. (Though if you're referring to Prairie du Chien (town), Wisconsin, the coordinates there seem to be OK, as the town is an entity much larger than just the city.) On the pronunciation of "Prairie du Chien

I have added an IPA pronunciation to the intro paragraph to the page from how I understand 'prairie-doo-SHEEN' to be pronounced/transcribed from an oral pronunciation I found. Someone let me know if there's any errors, I'm unfortunately not a local (Raccoonny (talk) 23:46, 22 February 2016 (UTC))
