Is it still "off-line" or restored service ?
editHello, I can't read Czech but maybe this website may indicate something about renewal of the service!

- According to this January 2018 page it closed in 2002 and there is nothing to suggest it ever reopened. The website you linked to is a commercial operation that installs pneumatic pipes fro buildings but I see nothing to indicate it has taken over or is operating the old mail system. Why not use Google translate to review the site yourself? ww2censor (talk) 09:21, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
- @Ww2censor: As published in October 2012, the previous owner "Telefónica" tried to sell the old system since 2008. Even in autumn 2012 they sold it to the company "Wind.com" (a small IT company owned by Zdeněk Dražil who was formerly an employee of Telefónica company). This company tried to attract sponsors for reconstruction. Future operation should be financed by sightseeing and school excursions. The first revived line should be the one from the main Prague postal office in Jindřišská street to the Prague Castle. However, nothing new was published about the intention since 2012. Here on YouTube is a lecture by the current owner Zdeněk Dražil (only in Czech).
- As I know, there is no official effort to restore the system. The website http://prazskapotrubniposta.cz was created by the current owner of the system, Zdeněk Dražil. The website declares its intention to revitalize the system and to present it to the public. The website describes their done steps:
- * they adressed Magistrate of the City of Prague and become patronage of the mayor of Prague
- * they adressed the National Heritage Institute and initiated a debate in order to proclaim the system as Cultural Monument.
- * they adressed the Ministry of Culture with a request for their support
- * they try to proclaim the system as a European Heritage Monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- * they want to present the system to the public and to utilize it besides other things for education of pupils and students, especially in physics
- * they try to recruit partners and sponsors and popularize the postal system and their effort for its revival
- Regrettably, the project appears to fall asleep since 2013. --ŠJů (talk) 22:16, 7 April 2018 (UTC) @Ww2censor: corrected the wrong URL. --ŠJů (talk) 22:37, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
