Talk:Piqué (weaving)

How is this word pronounced? Is it like the "ique" in "unique", ie peek. Or is it pee-kay or pik?

Category edit

Should this be categorized as a weave or a fabric? If weave, we need more info on the technique. - PKM 19:47, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

It certainly should be.

Knit Piqué edit

I personally think we should add a section on the knit version of the fabric. Woven piqué and knit piqué are not the same fabric; woven piqué is traditionally used to make white tie, while knit piqué is the classic polo shirt fabric. ANDROS1337TALK 20:56, 2 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

But the article is about the woven fabric, not the knit. Also, what is "white tie"? -Roxy, the dog. Esq. wooF 19:34, 11 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
