Talk:Pierre et Jean

I created a page on Guy de Maupassant's psychological novel Pierre et Jean. The text is mostly translated from this article[[1]] in the French Wikipedia (though I re-worded some of it to make it more coherent in English); I hope that such an action doesn't count as copying from another website, since it is technically from Wikipedia, just . . . in French. --Anglican 21:57, 10 December 2006 (UTC)....Reply

I removed this sentence: "Using hints made by acquaintances and other evidence, such as the resemblence of Jean to a portrait of M. Maréchal hidden by his mother". Not only was it incomplete, but it is not particularly true. In the book, Pierre sees a few small similarities between Jean and the portrait of Maréchal, but it was nothing striking-- Maréchal's blond hair was the most convincing, and he already knew that Maréchal had been blond.
