3rd World Pyro Olympics Line-Up constantly changing
editSorry can't help but notice that the 3rd WPO line-up is constantly changing. It seems that they do not have a final line-up yet. --- Laibcoms (talk | Contribs) 09:35, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Two Totally Different Events, Merged?
editI'm too late for the "debate" but just for the record, the "World Pyro Olympics" by La Mancha Pyro Productions is totally different from the "Philippine International PyroMusical Competition" by the SM group. In fact, the two even had a close overlap. The "4th World Pyro Olympics" was renamed to the "1st Pyro Musical Competition in the Philippines" and this was held in Bonifacio Global City, Philippines in 2009, from November 14 to December 12.
However, it lasted only two Saturdays because the Philippines was constantly hit by strong winds and rains (we were there, obviously). It was rescheduled in 2010. But due to yet another unforeseen event, it was rescheduled again in a much later date, after the SM group's competition. Eventually, the event was cancelled completely due to the months-long delay. While the SM group's "Philippine International PyroMusical Competition" went on in February and March of 2010. Last we heard of La Mancha / World Pyro Olympics / Pyro Musical Competition was late 2010, unfortunately it did not go through and we never heard from them again.
So there is no reason to put the SM group's "Pyro Musical Competition in the Philippines" under the "World Pyro Olympics" because these two events and organizations have nothing to do with each other. By combining both, it sends the wrong information to the readers and confuses people.

- It is better to rename the article to something generic like: Pyro Competitions in the Philippines. --- Laibcoms (talk | Contribs) 14:13, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
