Dyckman ancestry edit

I wonder if it is worth pointing out that while the Dyckmans were are real early Dutch family in NYC and did own a farm in northern Manhattan, they weren't as wealthy as suggested in Mad Men and the immigrant was Jan Dyckman, not Silas. FWIW, Jan Dyckman was actually from Westphalia and hence ethnically German. There is a Wikipedia entry on the still extant house in Manhattan his descendants built: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyckman_House. There was also a Dutch Dyckman family in the New Netherland's colony, but upstate. "In the early years of their marriage, Pete had trouble reconciling his own ambitions with his wife's more forceful personality. Trudy usually seemed to get her way in their marriage and showed considerably more talent for understanding the power dynamics of the office than Pete did."
