Talk:Peak demand

Suggestion edit

I suggest using the term maximum demand instead of peak demand. As on-peak and off- peak is used for describing the different price during day time and night times & Sundays& public holidays this term for describing the highest demand value is confusing. In order to get better acceptances for load management, to reduce the electricity consumption during maximum demand for some minutes (15 minutes, 30 minutes intervals) instead of performing load shifting from on-peak to off-peak periods - meaning to shift production from day time to night time. Peak photovoltaic doesn’t equal more energy edit

A source should be added to explain why and how hotter days (where more air conditioning is consumed) would entail a higher photovoltaic energy production. I’m no engineer but I don’t think it’s heat that causes energy production and in fact I imagine there may be cases where it hinder production due to the tolerance of the panels. Just speculating but the ambiguity proves the need for a source. 82.36.162.58 (talk) 23:39, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
