As part of WikiProject Good Articles' Project quality task force, I am re-reviewing this article to ensure continued compliance with current good article criteria. The article has the following issues, which I have outlined below:
- Images: Non-free images are used for decorative purposes, in violation of non-free content criteria. Given the breadth of computer games, using the title screens of first-person shooters is hardly apropos, anyhow.
- References: At a casual, glance, most of the references used appear to meet reliable source criteria, but without the publisher field filled for the {{cite web}} templates, it's hard to tell. More pressing is that large portions of content are entirely unsourced.
- Original research: Large amounts of the article appear to be original research, due to the citation issues above. It appears that basic information about the games are sourced, but not the more important and integral points about evolution of the computer games.
- Lead and comprehensiveness: The lead does not adequately cover all aspects of the article (history, technology, et al), but the article appears to meet basic comprehensiveness criteria.
Given that the top contributors to this article are no longer active and the extent of the issues involved above, I am summarily delisting the article. Note that you may renominate the article at any time if you believe it meets criteria. Please leave any comments or questions regarding this review on my talk page, as I do not watchlist old GANs.
