Hello future studies folks
editLists on Wikipedia tend to be on more specific schemes that have clear definitions. A more vague list of 'topics' which includes so many different things, including publications, might be better to include in the main Future studies article. But it is certainly a good list. Futures Studies is a branch of Science?
editI was rather surprised to see Futures Studies described as a branch of science. I typically don't see history described this way. I'd like to see a citation justifying this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by John b cassel (talk • contribs) 19:16, 11 February 2012 (UTC) John b cassel (talk) 03:01, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

editThree overlapping but not identical lists of the same subject:
- List_of_futurologists

- Futures_studies#Futurists%20and%20foresight%20thought%20leaders
All should be consolidated into the first, and the other 2 just be links. GangofOne (talk) 06:23, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
Quick explanation of Wikipedia outlines
edit"Outline" is short for "hierarchical outline". There are two types of outlines: sentence outlines (like those you made in school to plan a paper), and topic outlines (like the topical synopses that professors hand out at the beginning of a college course). Outlines on Wikipedia are primarily topic outlines that serve 2 main purposes: they provide taxonomical classification of subjects showing what topics belong to a subject and how they are related to each other (via their placement in the tree structure), and as subject-based tables of contents linked to topics in the encyclopedia. The hierarchy is maintained through the use of heading levels and indented bullets. See Wikipedia:Outlines for a more in-depth explanation. The Transhumanist 00:06, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Red link lists
editDo outlines normally have lists of aspirational redlinks? - David Gerard (talk) 12:17, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
- Not really a sanctioned value-added practice!
