The apse of Our Lady of the Assumption, a Roman Catholic church in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Though the parish was established in 1728, making it the oldest continuous one in Ontario, the cornerstone of the present church building was laid in the 1840s, with extensive construction efforts in subsequent decades. As of 2012, the church requires $15 million in repairs.Photograph: Chris Woodrich
