Hello @162 etc.: What sources were you referring to here? Most of the sources in the article just use "Oasis". I have come across variations here and there, like "Oasis Resort" and "Oasis Casino", but not specifically "Oasis Resort Casino". None of these variations seem to be in common usage.  AJFU  (talk) 20:06, 5 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hm, it seems that "Oasis Resort Hotel & Casino" is actually the name, as seen in this article [1] and the sign to the property itself [2]. 162 etc. (talk) 21:37, 5 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
That doesn't seem to be a common name either. Plus, casinos themselves are occasionally inconsistent with their own names. For example, the official website (seen here and here) calls it "Oasis Resort, Casino, Golf & Spa".  AJFU  (talk) 16:50, 6 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Since Oasis is ambiguous, a different title is needed. Per WP:NATURAL, an alternative name can be used, even if it is less common. 162 etc. (talk) 17:18, 6 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
WP:NATURAL also says to not use obscure names. I'm not sure that any of the alternate names here rise above the level of obscurity. "Oasis Resort Hotel & Casino" is used in merely two sources that I know of (the one you mentioned and then this one). I'm not aware of any problem with using parenthetical disambiguation.  AJFU  (talk) 18:21, 6 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
WP:NATURAL can be seen as preferable, but there's certainly nothing wrong with parenthetical disambiguation. I'll note that my pagemove was bold and undiscussed, and can be reverted if you object to it. 162 etc. (talk) 22:55, 6 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
I did a more thorough analysis of the article's references and confirmed that these alternative names are only supported by a small number of sources (about one to three for each name). Meanwhile, "Oasis" on its own is mentioned in 18 sources (not counting others which alternate between "Oasis" and "Si Redd's Oasis"). I think a parenthetical name is best in this particular case, so I'll go ahead and restore it.  AJFU  (talk) 17:44, 7 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
