Proposed merge with Nor'wester (Bangladesh) edit

These two articles denote the same event. Che12PM 07:18, 9 June 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Che12Guevara (talkcontribs)

  • merge I concur, these cover the same topic. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:50, 13 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
    • merge. However, the title of the page should be altered to just Nor'wester, because it covers a much broader area than Bangladesh. Moreover, it is a geographical phenomenon and has nothing to do with political borders. - Chandan Guha (talk) 13:37, 16 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
      • merge, and the title should be norwester or kalboishakhi. Kalboishakhi is widely known for it. ferdous 13:00, 11 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
      • While kalbaisakhi is a typically Bengali name, norwesters cover areas/ regions outside Bengal/ Bengali-speaking regions. I am not sure if kalbaisakhi is there in the other languages of the region. Kalbaisakhi is already mentioned in the article Norwesters. Wikipedia does not have articles such as Cyclone (USA) or Typhoon (Japan). However, there are articles on Atlantic hurricanes and Tropical cyclones. If at all a regional description is required, it could be Bay of Bengal Nor'westers. - Chandan Guha (talk) 18:13, 11 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
