Remove plot summary
editQuite a bit of this article is just a rehash of the plot of the movie, which is already covered (and better) in the article on the movie. Can we cut most of the plot summary, and/or refocus it on the parts that are specifically about Desmond? (There are significant chunks of the plot summary given here that aren't really about Desmond at all--"flat tire on his 1946 Plymouth after being chased by two repo men"?)
