editWhat is the song about? The lyrics aren't quite clear... TheEsb (talk) 16:02, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- It's about the end of a once-happy relationship. The singer sees that a note reading "No milk today" (conventionally tucked in the neck of an empty glass milk bottle) for the milk deliverer has been left outside the singer's lover's terraced house, indicating that, as no milk is needed, she no longer lives there: "my love has gone away". Other people can see the note but will not understand its sad significance. That's pretty much it, I think. Hope that helps. --Kay Dekker (talk) 22:01, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
