Well written

edit

Partly done Pretty good! There are just a few things that need resolution:

  • Per MOS:DOUBLE, quotes should use double quotation marks, even when written in international (British) English. This needs standardizing in the article.
  • Per MOS:LEADLENGTH, an article of less than 15,000 characters (which this is) should have a lead of 1-2 paragraphs. The present lead will need to be truncated.
  • In the first paragraph of the section "background", it should be spelled "Labour Party" not "Labour party" as "party" is part of Labour's name I believe (correct me if I'm wrong, though).
  • The number of commas in this sentence makes it very difficult to read: The Cabinet was also relatively elderly, and with younger political leaders on the scene, like American President John F. Kennedy, at a time of dramatic social changes, Macmillan resolved to bring some younger men into important posts.. Would it be possible to rewrite?
  • Here - Butler was in favour of the move, and together with Macleod, - "and" should come before the comma since it's a paranthetical expression.
  • I don't believe there should be a comma between "newspapers" and "including" in the first paragraph of the 12/13 July section.

Done Earwig's Copyvio detector shows the likelihood of plagiarism as "unlikely." Chetsford (talk) 00:08, 26 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Verifiable

edit

Done   Partly done The article is sourced to six unique sources, all of which are WP:RS (either mainstream news sites or books published by major publishing houses). The sources being largely offline, it will take me some time to conduct further verification. Please standby. I've now checked two of the sources and they seem to support the statements being used to support. Other sources I could not check but have verified through alternate sources.   Not done Page numbers are needed for source 11. Chetsford (talk) 23:59, 25 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Not done Sourcing is needed for the table. Chetsford (talk) 00:10, 26 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Broad

edit

Done I'm not an expert on this subject, however, for this GA read a couple short, generalist treatments of it and this article seems to hit all the major themes and is appropriate for a generalist encyclopedia treatment of it. Chetsford (talk) 00:09, 26 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Neutral

edit

Done The article is written per NPOV. Chetsford (talk) 00:00, 26 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Stable

edit

Done There have only been six edits this years to the page, none of which were substantial. There are no recent/active talk page discussions. Chetsford (talk) 23:45, 25 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Illustrated

edit

Done There are two images, which is adequate for an article of this length. Both images are correctly licensed. The images are missing ALT tags, however, this is not required of GA. Chetsford (talk) 23:46, 25 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
