Some proposed changes edit

  • Information to be modified: "However, in the beginning, some critics were offended by the fact that NewsRx was a non-governmental agency distributing statistics that were available for free in official versions frrm the government.[13] (see Controversy)"
  • Change to: "An article in the magazine Editor and Publisher criticized the fact that NewsRx was a non-governmental agency distributing statistics that were available for free in official versions from the government.[13] (see Controversy)"
  • Explanation of issue: Language, typos, and accuracy.
  • References supporting change: Modifying to more accurately reflect the original reference given.

  • Information to be moved: Move a paragraph from the 1980s-1990s section to the 2000s section. "In 1999, NewsRx adopted Artificial Intelligence Journalist (AIJ) which uses robotics, machine learning, algorithms, logic, and automated reasoning to provide computer-assisted reporting and data driven journalism.[9] This software program shortens the time from news event to news distribution by automating the process of research, writing, editing, formatting, and distribution.[9]"
  • Explanation of issue: Events that took place in 1999 are in the 2000s section.
  • References supporting change: N/A

  • Information to be changed: "BUTTER uses a search engine and publishes 10,000 new articles a day (11.4 million articles as of March, 2016).[17]"

  • References supporting change: https://artificial-intelligence.cioreview.com/vendor/2017/newsrx

  • Information to be added beneath "along with supervisors with PhDs and master's degrees in English, Journalism, Management, and Information Technology.[9] ": "Today, however, artificial intelligence and computational journalism technology writes and edits NewsRx articles, technology developed through supervised learning by subject matter experts.[3]"
  • Explanation of issue: Outdated information. NewsRx no longer uses human editors.

Finally, I would like to propose removing the "Multiple Issues" tag from this article. The article seems to have since been updated to reflect a more neutral viewpoint. If you disagree, please point out any examples of biased/subjective language and I will edit them for neutrality and propose additional changes.

Partially done. Some of your suggested sources are not good or reliable and read like flattering press releases despite their URLs seeming like neutral sites. I did the uncontroversial, such as chronological ordering of 1999 events and removed the unclear sentence fragment about the degrees of the editors. Request edit edit

Thanks, JesseRafe. I'd like to reiterate a few requests for anyone else who would be willing to take a look at my sources and evaluate them. I will add a "request edit" tag if I don't receive a response in the next few days.

   Edit request partially implemented

  1.  Y The section containing outdated info was omitted (the material in question was not referenced). The claim regarding the automated functions of the software is already in the article.
  2.  N The claim that the software decreases the time to publication through automation is a given, for such is the purpose of automated software.
