New York Avenue → New York Avenue (disambiguation) – With all the other articles on this page either not containing "New York Avenue" in the title or being redlinks, it's abundantly clear to me that the D.C. roadway is the primary topic pbp 05:28, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

• Comment I think the Monopoly square is the primary topic. As the Monopoly square comes up frequently, it's certainly a likely topic. And we have an article on the Monopoly board game that covers that topic. -- 76.65.128.43 (talk) 10:35, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

JHJ, how does that observation, comparing pageviews for one article and for DAB page, justify a support vote? What benefit is there for readers in the proposed move? These are all low-traffic articles: except Monopoly, with 88115 hits in December. Noetica^Tea? 06:31, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

• Oppose. Useless for readers, even if it scratches the itch of some editors to find a primary topic at all costs. How is New York Avenue anywhere more notable than, say, Collins Street, Melbourne: 2301 pageviews in December, obviously more than the nearest competitor Collins Street, Hobart, with a mere 28! New York Avenue, Washington D.C. carries the Boston Post Road through the city. And how can something be in consideration for primary topic if the article doesn't even exist? Or isn't even titled "New York Avenue"? And I'm not advocating moving "New York Avenue, DC" to "New York Avenue", I'm advocating redirecting it. pbp 14:45, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

So what if it continues another road? The pageviews suggest little notability. Collins Street in Melbourne is famous for all sorts of reasons. There is the expression "Collins Street farmer", there is the iconic Australian painting Collins St., 5 pm, and more. But in a multiple RM at Talk:Collins Street, Melbourne the community resoundingly wanted to keep such useful precision. Why would even the Melburnians want to expunge a hint that it concerned their city?

Now, please show me where was this made clear in your proposal "I'm not advocating moving "New York Avenue, DC" to "New York Avenue", I'm advocating redirecting it." In fact, please show us all exactly what disposition you are proposing for all the relevant titles. ☺

It should have been blatently clear because I haven't requested a move of New York Avenue, DC either here or separately. The dispositions are pretty clear from the nomination, but in case you missed it, I'll restate it, but it was abundantly clear in the proposal

1. New York Avenue moved to New York Avenue (disambiguation)
2. New York Avenue redirects to New York Avenue (Washington, D.C.)
3. New York Avenue (Washington, D.C.) isn't moved
4. Nothing else is moved

Furthermore, I must note that the disposition of another street halfway around the world is of little. Please consider the matter at hand independently of it. pbp 16:28, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
