It was ruled to be illegal, but there is an appeal pending.

The appeal was successful. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.2.193.1 (talk) 11:57, 11 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia chose poorly on naming this concept edit

As a Wikipedia editor in good standing, I would begin to make corrections to this problem, but I have a severe conflict of interest, so I really can't.

Network DVR gets 577,000 Google hits.

Remote DVR gets 446,000 Google hits.

Remote storage DVR gets 297,000 Google hits.

Remote storage digital video recorder gets 122,000 Google hits.

NPVR gets 25,900 Google hits.

These all refer to the same basic technology innovation.

Wikipedia has elected to have not one, but two different articles about the same thing.

Guess which two titles Wikipedia selected for their two articles? You would think the two with the most Google hits, right?

Nope -- they picked the two with the fewest hits:

Remote storage digital video recorder and NPVR. -- Thekohser 18:59, 14 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Do you want it moved to Network DVR? Vyvyan Basterd (talk) 22:19, 14 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
