Improvements needed edit

There appears to be a lot of copy & pasted information in this article, including a news story and info probably from some city promotional materials. Very little of it is sourced. I may remove some of the egregious portions but if others will add references feel free to add back. Amplifiedlight (talk) 23:33, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Being a relatively new resident of Navasota, I have to say I find most of this information troubling. There are MANY great points about Navasota, and it is absolutely NOT the gunslinging, drug riddled town depicted by the facts listed. There are some crimes here periodically, but no more so than other towns with a diverse group of citizens and income levels. There are a huge number of community activities, such as the annual Texas Birthday Bash; annual Home for the Holidays Christmas celebration including ice skating, human snow globe, lighted parade; vast growth and economic development; City sponsored mailbox replacement program; an active citizens group of Keep Navasota Beautiful that sponsors cleanups and activities throughout the year; a Citizens University; City sponsored activities offered through the Navasota Center including yoga, cooking classes, art classes; and much more. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kseabythec (talkcontribs) 15:47, 12 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
