  • Ireland and the United Kingdom aren't the only nations that use the term "national lottery". South Africa does so in English, for one; a number of other countries do so in other languages. So I'm dropping Ireland and the UK; they are included in the Countries with a national lottery list.
  • Their respective entries don't indicate that either EuroMillions or the Viking Lotto are (or have ever been) referred to as national lotteries, and logically it seems unlikely that they would be so called. So I'm deleting those entries. 9Nak (talk) 21:23, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've added back the specific pages that are entitled National lottery. This is consistent with the aims of WP:D and WP:MOSDAB. I agree with your deletions. Tassedethe (talk) 14:06, 20 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Should we add the non-English ones to the list? I see three contenders in the country list: Ecuador: Lotería Nacional; Belgium: Loterie Nationale or Nationale Loterij; and Netherlands: Nationale Postcode Loterij.
Somewhat more tricky are the ones that are officially named for the country but are colloquially and locally known as "national" or "state" – though, again, not in English. 9Nak (talk) 14:31, 20 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
