Lack of Source Material

I was a major user at Nirvana Net (I didn't use a handle, but rather posted under my real name ie., "Kevin O'Keeffe," although I may have posted as "Citizen O'Keeffe" for a while, if memory serves), from about 1992-1996, as I recall. I accessed it through the San Jose-based Burn This Flag BBS, since it was the only NirvanaNet node in the 408 area code. Anyhoo, NirvanaNet was written up, during the early-to-mid 1990s, in the Contra Costa Times, the Chicago Tribune, and the National Enquirer. I used to own copies of the articles, so I know they exist, although it may be very difficult to track them down at this time.

As a perhaps interesting aside, one of the regular posters when I was active at NirvanaNet was David Campbell, who posted under the handle "Fred Red." He's now a member of the Peace & Freedom Party Central Committee (or at least he was, in 2008), and was their 2006 nominee for District One of the California Board of Equalization.
