Controvery Section

I think this should be included or a break down of who received how many votes displayed. It isn't wild speculation to suggest that a completely opaque voting process was likely manipulated for the sake of positive PR. If there were many votes cast, as in recent years, then the chances of a tie would have been extremely slim. --71.107.94.226 (talk) 06:05, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

I've added another reference. I could add a dozen more, but It's not worth my effort. I see what you are saying. But per our policy of WP:Undue weight, such a minor point of view has no place in this article. Controversy

Some journalists have questioned whether the 2009 All-Star MVP votes were accurately counted.

The NBA’s tabulation of votes that made Shaq and Kobe Bryant co-MVP’s felt as legitimate as election night in Havana, but who could blame the irresistible irony of Shaq and Kobe tugging on that MVP trophy at night’s end.

Of course, it would be another massive coincidence if they actually tied in the balloting, with fans at home texting in votes, which counted "toward choosing the official" MVP, according to NBA.com.

Do you have a picture of Bryant and O'Neal tying in the Internet vote, 1,672,488-1,672,488?

So, the NBA, which alone decided how to weight the Internet vote, effectively chose its MVPs too!
