Infobox and lede edit

  • No commas needed around "at the second and third floors"
  • colonnade is singular but "are flanked by" is plural
    • I fixed both of these by rewording the sentence. Epicgenius (talk) 18:50, 11 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Site edit

  • Link George Abbott Way in body as well as lede
  • "Impacts" is vague, I assume it increases box office sales rather than decreases
    • Fixed. Yes, the foot traffic increases sales. Epicgenius (talk) 18:50, 11 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Design edit

Facade edit

  • Good

Auditorium edit

  • Delink stage per MOS:OVERLINK
  • If the 1,009 seats are physical, then where does the 984 number come from? (The 35 orchestra pit seats bring it down to 974)
    • I'm not sure. There are 1,009 seats if you count just the orchestra, mezzanine, and boxes; the standing spots are not included in the 1,009 figure, but the orchestra pit is. Maybe Playbill is referring to an arrangement where only 10 of the orchestra pit seats are used, but I can't verify this. Epicgenius (talk) 00:56, 14 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Other indoor spaces edit

  • Does the small room measuring 8 feet etc. describe the promenade or lobby?
    • It refers to the lobby. I've clarified it now. Epicgenius (talk) 00:56, 14 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

History edit

  • Those two sentences before "Development and early years" feel poorly melded into anything; is there a way to nicely rope them into the dev section?
    • These sentences provide context for the theater's development but aren't part of the development themselves. The Shuberts are mentioned because they became the co-owners and later the sole owners. Harris and Berlin are mentioned because they were the original developers. Epicgenius (talk) 22:10, 5 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Development and early years edit

  • "was planning on staging" → "planned to stage"

1940s to 1970s edit

  • "Several changes in the Music Box Theater's operation happened in the 1940s." → "The Music Box Theater underwent several changes in operation during the 1940s."
  • "the Music Box began to be leased to producers" → "independent producers began to lease the Music Box"
  • The phrasing of "from another theater" suggests we don't know where Affairs of State came from, is that right?
    • Actually, I do know (the play transferred from the Royale Theatre), but I didn't think it was relevant initially. Epicgenius (talk) 22:10, 5 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Any Wednesday should be italicized as the name of a full-length production. Additionally, the WL takes you to the film, but there isn't an article for the play to make a better target

1980s and 1990s edit

  • First two sentences are a little proseline-y; there should be some contrast between Agnes of God being successful and the subsequent flops
  • the latter of which redundant due to setup of sentence, can just be "which"
  • "started considering protecting" → "stared to consider protecting"
  • "part of the LPC's wide-ranging" → "part of the commission's wide-ranging"
  • in 1994, following his death We already know that he died in 1989, so the setup here is a bit confusing, as it suggests he died closer to '94

2000s to present edit

  • after just over a dozen is it possible to be more specific?
  • Any way to specify where August: Osage County was being transferred in from?
    • Done, though as above (with Affairs), I didn't think it was relevant initially. Epicgenius (talk) 22:10, 5 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Notable productions edit

  • Good

Box office record edit

  • This brief section is a bit confusing, especially with the link being broken. It seems to suggest that this record is for any production, and yet I'm sure Dear Evan Hansen has had a lot more than eight performances.
    • It's basically whichever production grossed the most for a certain week throughout the entire history of the theater. I reworded it briefly, but a list of weekly box office records throughout the theater's history would be very hard to source. Maybe this should be removed instead. • By the way @GhostRiver, thanks for taking this up. I forgot to say it earlier. – Epicgenius (talk) 14:27, 6 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

General comments edit

  • All photos are relevant and properly licensed
  • No stability concerns in the revision history
  • Earwig score looks good, highest scores all due to proper nouns
    • @GhostRiver: Thanks again for taking a look. I've addressed all these issues now. Epicgenius (talk) 00:56, 14 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
