Muscardine Talk
editInteresting article. I see it has just one editor whom I've tried to contact several weeks ago about an error that needs correction. Under the section "Control" the sentence: "Fungicidal agents such as azadirachtin and phytoallexin have been used against some muscardine pathogens.[9]" is erroneous. Azadiractin is used as an insect growth regulator or insecticide. Phytoallexins are chemicals produce by plants for defensive purposes against insects and other predators. Neither one is a "fungicide," and the article referenced for this statement does not support the statement either. The referenced article does state that phytoallexins does inhibit the insecticidal function of a entomogenous muscardine fungi preparation, whereas azadirachtin did not. I will make the necessary corrections shortly if the editor does not. SL1358 (talk) 05:25, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
