Notable People edit

I know murphy's not a big town, but honestly why do all these little towns have lists of people who /happened to be in the city at some point/. Yes, sure Eric Rudolph was caught here but does it really warrant the extra section? Couldn't that be covered in /history/? I'm going to remove the notable people people section (as there's really no one who was born or currently resides in murphy worth mentioning, the christmas song reference is really kind of obscure.) Might as well include everyone named murphy, too. Anyone object, please just talk to me here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.88.127.107 (talk) 22:56, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Downtown scene --> Demographics edit

The section that used to be titled "Downtown Scene" had only one sentence, its first, about the downtown scene. The rest of the section was what is usually, in articles about cities, called "Demographics. That first sentence, which said, "Murphy has a popular downtown scene, many local shops and eateries are located all over the square and surrounding area. The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce is a great source of information for the area," was unsourced and sounded suspiciously like Chamber of Commerce talk. I just deleted it and renamed the section Demographics. Dgndenver (talk) 06:55, 21 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Boring edit

Murphy has nothing to do if you go on vacation. I stayed in a cabin 40 minutes away from anything at all! Avain5grade (talk) 19:31, 6 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
