  • John Curtis and Ann (Revell) Curtis, along with four of their childern, landed at Burlington, West Jersey in December, 1687 on the ship Shield bound from Hull, England. Ann's brother, Thomas Revell, also came with them. His original office building is still standing in Burlington. John and Ann Curtis are buried on Mount Pleasant hill as recorded by the Chesterfield Monthly Meeting of Friends.
  • In 1692, John Curtis was the Constable of Mansfield Township.
