Accepting that there are several Morverns, I don't think this move is helpful. Arguably this Morvern has primacy, and secondly it is not called "Morvern Peninsula', but rather 'Morvern'. In my view it needs either to be moved back to 'Morvern', or to something like "Morvern, Argyll'. Ben MacDui 08:42, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

It is not called the "Morvern Peninsula"; it is simply called Morvern. Please refer to any WP:Reliable refs. --Mais oui! (talk) 20:10, 6 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Moved it back. No dab page came (just a redirect to the inaccurate title), and so this was quite pointless. Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 07:40, 7 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Morvern: Muir Mhaoirne? edit

james E. Fraser says "one particular sea-stewartry seems to have retained its name in the Scottish landscape, namely in Morvern (Gaelic A' Mhorbhairn) on the Firth of Lorn." in his book "From Caledonia to Pictland: Scotland to 795: Scotland to 795". In his paper on Cenel Loairn he explicitly identifies Morvern as Sea Mearns as in Muir Mhaoirne, a 'Sea Stewartry'.

Morvern is also home Cenel Baetain, the rulers of the kingdom of Moray, which Morvern seems to be within.
