Why has this article been created?

edit

This article should be left as part of the Mornington Peninsula freeway article and expanded there, further Peninsula Link article should also be merged into it as well. It is ridiculous to have three different articles for what is the same road - M11. suggest rescinding this article and adding this information to the main MPF article. 110.145.157.218 (talk) 01:31, 14 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Interestingly enough, I drove past the intersections where this freeway crosses both Governor Road and Lower Dandenong Road this afternoon. At both intersections, the signs were up marking it as M11 Mornington Peninsula Freeway, not as M11 Mordialloc Freeway. Has the freeway had a name-change during construction? Regardless, if it does open with this name, the article may need to be merged back into its parent anyway. 218.215.97.120 (talk) 11:53, 1 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
I completely missed this talk section when I posted mine below, apologies. Agree with all of the above, we should probably wait until official opening but it looks like this article is now redundant. Zach386x (talk) 23:19, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Heya, with the imminent opening of this extension, there has been numerous signage showing that 'Mordialloc Freeway' was simply a construction name and the freeway is officially an extension of the Mornington Peninsula Freeway. As such, this article seems redundant and any info here should be moved across to Mornington Peninsula Freeway. Zach386x (talk) 23:18, 13 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
