It is indeed, Mississaugua. I've had the privilege of using a family cottage on this lake for the last 14 years or so, and it is indeed spelled differently than the city of Mississauga. It has a u between the g and a. There is no u before the g. Mississagua.
Mike Fischer has a cottage on the East side, on the point which recedes into a bay which extends eastward.
