Fair use rationale for Image:MirageFilm.jpg

edit

Image:MirageFilm.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Merger

edit

This article has been merged with source page Mirage (2006 film) for the following reasons:

  • Duplication of subject matter.
  • Inaccuracy of source page's title. The subject is a 2004 film.
  • Precedence of destination page. The destination page was created on 29 October 2006, while the source page was created on 27 December 2007.

WP:FILMS B-class assessment

edit

The article is very well-written but just needs a few things fixed to reach B class:

  1. Consider trimming down the cast section. If some of the characters are minor, consider removing them.
  2. There are too many non-free images in the article. I'd recommend keeping two or at most three screenshots within the article. The images can only be included if they are directly talked about in the article and meet the non-free content policy.
  3. There are a few single sentences found throughout the article. Work on expanding these or incorporating them into another paragraph.
  4. Try to expand the box office section, including income from other countries.

I've made a few minor corrections myself, please review my edits to ensure that I didn't make any mistakes. Once you have fixed these issues and/or if you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll upgrade the article to B-class. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 22:15, 15 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your review and corrections! As recommended, I've made the following edits to the article:
  1. Trimmed down the cast section by removing fifteen minor roles.
  2. Removed two screenshots and retained three screenshots for commentary on themes (chess bullet, train graveyard) and production (final shot).
  3. Found single sentences in Production and Distribution sections, and incorporated them into paragraphs.
  4. Checked your edits.
Unfortunately, I've been unable to locate income figures from other countries and expand the box office section. --DanDs (talk) 05:53, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
