I created the page/article for Wikipedia entitles "Minnesota State Law Library". My position at the library is Head of Technical Services here is the link to my photo and bio from our website (removed). So the person that should give permission to use anything from our website is myself. What do I need to do further to have our article on the library show on Wikipedia? Please advise and I will do what is required. You may also contact me at my email address at the Minnesota State Law Library (removed addr.) (Sebastiaan69 (talk) 17:36, 12 February 2009 (UTC))Reply

I'm sure we can take your word based on the above note, but just to be sure you should do one of two things:
  1. If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or that the material is released into the public domain leave a note here with a link to where we can find that note.
  2. If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Minnesota State Law Library.

Just wanted to note that I have blanked the article again to allow the verification process to complete so that we remain in compliance of WP:C. This is required because the copyright is not "explicitly disclaimed" at the site. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for elaboration of the processes set out above. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:31, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
kk. I've emailed the user reminding him to do so. –xeno (talk) 15:39, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. :) I'll mark this one at the copyright problems board to give it more time. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:41, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have sent a note to Permissions Wikipedia, granting them permission to use the information cited from the Minnesota State Law Library website. I also state I have irrevocably agreed to release my contributions under the terms of the GFDL. [[Sebastiaan69 (talk) 15:53, 13 February 2009 (UTC)]]Reply

Thank you. As soon as this has been received and processed, a ticket number will be noted here and the contents restored. Please keep an eye on your e-mail, as a member of the Communications Committee will contact you if there are any questions about your release. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:37, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
Ticket:2009021310044613 received, requesting specific release. Stifle (talk) 22:01, 13 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
As specific release has not been provided, text taken from that website cannot be used. I checked to verify and there has not been a response to the OTRS e-mail explaining the terms that we require. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:03, 10 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
