Whant to know the source of translation confusion edit

In HITCHCOCK'S BIBLE NAMES DICTIONARY, Micah is translated as "poor; humble" (Michaiah = Michael, same as Micah) and it is different than Michal = "who is perfect?" And again this is different to Micaiah = "who is like to God?" So this would means that Michael means poor, humble and not state an equivalence to God. And also it is a question. So why this confusion? --Stilmant (talk) 22:11, 13 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Also Micha seems to be different than Micah in translation/meaning:

  • Micah = poor; humble
  • Micha = same as Micaiah
  • Micaiah = who is like to God?
  • Michaiah = Michael, same as Micah
  • Michal = who is perfect?

What do you think? I beleave that the common translation of Michael to "who is lik god" is wrong... Ouch and the meaning is something like the opposite?! --Stilmant (talk) 22:30, 13 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
