There's an interesting pre-spacecraft era article by H.H. Nininger in Sky & Telescope, 1952 June, pg 192-93: "Do We See a Lunar Tunnel?" Naming and Pics

The image shows "Messier" AND "Messier A" while the article tslks about A,B etc. Confusing. 65.75.105.187 (talk) 18:08, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
