Libel case edit
Merry Hampton's leg problems were the subject of a libel case see [1] Reading between the lines WP:OR it sounds as though Baird was suspected of having faked/fabricated Merry Hampton's injury before the Leger to get better odds from the bookies. Another rumour was that Baird had lost £15,000 on the race Tigerboy1966 (talk) 23:30, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
